/ Norske banditter

We wanted to do something different with this drop. Something conceptual. We´ve long wanted to explore designs based on iconic figures considered bandits and criminals by some and heroes or victims of circumstance by others.

The lines can be thin. For instance, Che Guevara was labeled a thug and a terrorist by south American governments in the 50´s, but the people and history has given him titles like revolutionary, freedom fighter and liberator. It´s all a matter of perspective.

We wanted to look to our own nation of Norway to try to find some interesting bandits from our history. Boy did we find them. We picked three fascinating characters for this drop but there are many more to choose from. We´ve made designs based on the following three people:

Gjest Baardsen

(1791-1849)

A Norwegian produced fictional film from 1939 based on Baardsen´s life.

Famed Norwegian actor Helge Jordal sings and talks about Baardsen (in Norwegian)

Johannes Sigfred Andersen

(1898-1970)
AKA. “Gulosten” / “The Yellow Cheese”

HiBandit do not support or condone any form of criminal activity. We strongly encourage individuals to act in accordance with the law and to seek appropriate legal advice when in doubt.

NOTE: Customers who have shopped with us before might notice that prices have gone up on our latest products. This is because we switched our supplier of products and went all in on quality this time. Our production costs went up drastically, so to cover our expenses we saw the need to raise the prices. In this day’s landscape of quality streetwear and clothing we don´t think these prices are shocking to anyone. We know you will recognize the quality of the pieces of this drop when you receive your order, and when you put them on and wear them.
